Über mich
I've been a big fan of all kinds of music since I was a child. I learned how to play instruments in the classical way at an early age. From the recorder to the guitar, the piano and the trumpet, I ended up with my instrument – the trombone.
I played in various big bands during my school days at the Besselgymnasium in Minden. A one-year student exchange in Falaise, France, where I was allowed to play the trombone in various harmony orchestras and ensembles, was particularly formative for me. During this time I realized that music and musical instruments had long since become my calling.
Direkt nach dem Abitur absolvierte ich dann eine Ausbildung zum Metallblasinstrumentenmacher beim renommierten Unternehmen Gebr. Alexander in Mainz.
Since then I have primarily served the brass instrument segment. In addition, since 2014 I have been increasingly focusing on the repair, maintenance and overhaul of woodwind instruments in order to meet the increasing demand in this area. Additional training and participation in various courses and seminars in this field ultimately led to my range of services now also covering the field of woodwind instruments.
In order to be able to live out my passion as an active musician and to have my ear permanently on the “musician's pulse”, I play the trombone in the Top Floor Brass Band in my spare time and am a member of a brass quintet.
The Workshop
Workshop and Philosophy
As a passionate musician, I know myself how attached you are to your instrument and how connected you are with it. That's why my philosophy from the beginning was that my customers should be allowed to accompany me in the workshop area with the repair, overhaul or maintenance of their instruments, so that they can look over my shoulder while doing the craft.
My workshop and my business area are therefore designed to be open and offer extensive insight into my tools and activities. Experience has shown that my customers are happy to accept this openness, and many helpful tips, suggestions and recommendations in dealing with the individual instrument are exchanged in this way.
